FAQ

What is the purpose of Property Mart South Africa?

Property Mart South Africa is a RESIDENTIAL portal. The aim is to market South African RESIDENTIAL property targeted to the END USER or INVESTOR, locally and abroad. Agents and Property Owners may register and list their RESIDENTIAL property opportunities for SALE or to LET for FREE on Property Mart South Africa.

How do I register on Property Mart South Africa?

On the top left corner select "Agent Registration". You will be prompted to provide name, username, email & password. Upon completion an email will be sent to you. Click the hyperlink in the email to verify your email address and activate your registration.

What do I do after registration?

The link in the email sent to you will activate your account and take you back to the Property Mart South Africa website. On the top left corner, select "Agent Login" and enter you username and password. A green Agent Menu will appear in the main menu on the left. Select "My Agent Profile, complete your Agent Profile and save.

How do I list my property on the website?

After completing your profile, select "Add Property" from the Agent Menu. Enter the required fields under "Properties" tab. Keep the full text description of the property down to 2 or 3 short pertinent paragraphs. Select the "Extra Fields" tab and enter the property features. Select the "Publishing" tab. Enter the date created, date to expire (if applicable), metadata description (e.g. 4 Bedroom Home for sale in Kommetjie, Cape Town, South Africa.) and keywords. List 4 or 5 keywords specific to the property. Click "Save & Insert Photos". Upload the property photos. Each upload can have its own heading and description. After uploading photos, click the "Save" icon and you are done. The administrator will now review the listing and mark it for publishing.

Why can I not see my property listing after I have added it to the Property Mart South Africa website?

After you have added a property, the administrator will review the listing first and mark it for publishing. This is an unfortunate exercise that has to be performed because of the unsavoury characters out there that use this technology for purposes other than what it is intended for. To see if your listing has been published, login and select "Manage My Properties" from the Agent Menu. On the right hand side the status of publication is indicated.

How will I know when there is an enquiry on my listing?

When you register, you will load your preferred email address. Any enquiry on your listing will be directed straight to this email address.

How do I delist a property once sold or let?

Login and select "Manage My Properties". Select the property you want to edit. Select the "Publishing" tab and enter the current date under "Finish Publishing" and save. The property will be delisted from end user view.
